CANTON, N.C. (WLOS) – A date has been set for the sale of Canton’s paper mill – Oct. 1. Canton mayor Zeb Smathers says this date is down as the marker for the sale of the Pactiv-Evergreen site to Spirtas Worldwide. He says he is cautiously optimistic about that, but there is also some possible wiggle room.
