SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The race to succeed Ken McClure as the mayor of Springfield has begun.

Schrag says he wants to focus his campaign on livability in Springfield, with key elements being public safety, infrastructure, efficiency and transparency.

“The smartest path for sustainable growth is to grow with those around us. Livability requires jobs. Jobs require people. All people,” Schrag said during the event.

Springfield’s municipal election is on April 8, 2025.
