Arkansas sees rise in job openings

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A new federal report shows there are more job openings in Arkansas than before compared to 2023.

According to Talk Business and Politics , Arkansas job openings totaled an estimated 72,000 in July.

However, the number of hires dropped by almost 20%, and layoffs increased by 14%. The drop in hires in Arkansas was significantly higher than the national rate which fell 3.7% in July.
