Diddy Jailed Until Trial

Additional Coverage:

Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has been denied bail and ordered to remain in jail until his trial for sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. Judge Andrew Carter rejected Combs’ lawyers’ plea for release, citing concerns that he could obstruct justice or tamper with witnesses.

Combs was arrested on Monday and has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center since. His lawyers described the jail conditions as "horrific" and unfit for pre-trial detention, but the judge dismissed their request for house arrest with 24/7 security.

The charges against Combs were unsealed in a 14-page indictment, accusing him of abusing and coercing women to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct. Combs has pleaded not guilty.

Several women have come forward with similar allegations against Combs, who has denied all claims. Homeland Security raided his homes in March, leading to criticism from his attorney over the excessive use of force.
