The state Department of Veterans Services holds a Forgotten Heroes Funeral each year, providing a military funeral for veterans who are not claimed by family after death. The memorial service begins at 9 a.m. at Albuquerque’s Legacy Church and the funeral in Santa Fe is set to begin at 11 a.m. The public is invited to pay their respects at both ceremonies.
