Jordan Love’s 2024 season nearly ended in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Green Bay Packers star quarterback suffered a lower leg injury in the final moments of the game. Love’s reaction to the injury had fans fearing for the worst.
Thankfully, Love’s injury was diagnosed as an MCL sprain. It’s still an injury, but it’s tame compared to what the average Packers fan feared at the time.
That does not take away from how scary that situation was for Love. On Wednesday, the Packers quarterback talked about what he felt right after he injured his knee.
“When it happened, it was one of those things, it was very scary, definitely not knowing what happened,” Love said, per SI.com’s Bill Huber. “I’ve never had an ACL (tear) or anything like that, so I didn’t know what that felt like, didn’t know what that might be. A lot of thoughts went through my head, for sure.”
During the Packers’ final drive against the Eagles, Love took a hit from two players while attempting a throw. The quarterback crumpled in pain afterward after his knee buckled from the hit. Love was eventually helped off the field.
