Two tasty shops have closed their doors in Raleigh’s Seaboard Station.
The Peace Street development said goodbye to sweet shop Mon Macaron and the popular taqueria Tacos Mama Chava this summer.
Amid ongoing redevelopment nearby, the shopping center has seen frequent turnover in recent years.
Mon Macaron and Tacos Mama Chava operated next-door spaces in Seaboard Station and were previously the restaurants Papa Shogun and Donatos Pizza, respectively. The development will also see longtime neighbor Seaboard Cafe depart Logan’s Garden Center this month. The beer bar and record store Hunky Dory announced earlier this year that it was moving from Seaboard Station to Raleigh Iron Works.
But it’s not all departures for Seaboard. The development recently added milkshake bar The Yards and breakfast destination Biscuit Belly and there’s a Starbucks on the way.
There are currently two other Mon Macaron locations open in the Triangle, a shop in Cary that opened last year and one in North Raleigh that opened a few months ago. The brand is also expanding beyond the Triangle, opening its latest shop in Charlotte.
