Powerball ticket worth $1M bought at small N.J. grocery store

The $1 million Powerball ticket sold in New Jersey for Wednesday’s lottery drawing was purchased at a small grocery store in Newark, lottery officials said. The lucky Powerball winner made the purchase at Variedades Ecualatinas on Ferry Street in the Ironbound section of the state’s largest city. The ticket matched five numbers but not the Powerball and was the only second-prize ticket bought in the country for last night’s drawing.
