CSPD: Search warrants executed related to recent burglaries of vape shops and gun stores

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said police recently executed search warrants at two homes and three minors were contacted related to recent smash-and-grab burglaries of vape shops and gun stores.

According to CSPD, on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at around 1 p.m. investigators from the Metro Burglary Unit and the Motor Vehicle Theft Unit executed search warrants at two homes in the blocks of 4000 Morley Road and 1000 Mt. Werner Circle.

Police said the search warrants are related to a spate of recent smash-and-grab burglaries of vape shops and gun stores. One firearm and other evidence related to several burglaries were recovered.

Three minors were contacted during the searches, two of the minors were released to guardians and one was held in custody for unrelated warrants. Police said the investigation into the burglaries is ongoing.
