I love making steak sandwiches and serving them on hoagie buns with melted cheese, onions and peppers so I thought I would share with you my recipe. I make mine on the griddle (aka blackstone, not sponsered) but you could cook them in an iron skillet or any skillet you have. You will need the following ingredients:
Recipe:
8 oz sirloin steak
1/2 onion, sliced into thin slices
1/2 bell pepper. sliced into thin slices
seasoned salt
1 – 2 tablespoons of butter
sliced hoagie buns
1 cup of shredded cheese
Preheat the griddle to medium heat.
Slice the steak into thin slices, against the grain, as thin as you can.
Sprinkle the season salt over the steak and the sliced vegetables. Add a teaspoon of butter to the steak and a teaspoon of butter to the vegetables.
Place the steak on the hot griddle into a thin layer and cook until it reaches the doneness you prefer. Add another teaspoon of butter when the steak is almost done. This does not take long at all. Maybe 5 – 7 minutes.
