BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Fire Department scrambled to the scene of an emergency plane landing east of McFarland Wednesday.
The small single engine plane landed on Highway 65, just north or Sherwood Avenue.

The pilot reportedly landed after a fuel sensor went off prompting the pilot to land fearing a possible fuel leak. Officials have not confirmed the reason that forced the pilot to land the plane.
