ASU student hospitalized after stabbing in classroom

An Arizona State University student was taken to the hospital after being stabbed on campus on Thursday, according to campus police.

At around 11:45 a.m. at the ASU West campus, one woman stabbed another woman in a classroom.

One student was taken into custody while the student who was stabbed was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to ASU spokesperson Jerry Gonzalez.

ASU police did not reveal any other information about the students or the details about the stabbing.

Gonzalez said that the stabbing was still under investigation.
