PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — The man who was shot to death in the Lloyd District last week has been identified as 44-year-old Anthony J. Garland, the Portland Police Bureau said on Thursday.
On Sept. 10, the shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. near Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast 6th Avenue , police said.

The victim, later identified as Garland, was already dead by the time officers arrived. A medical examiner determined he died of homicide by gunshot.
At the time, police said the shooter was still at large. On Thursday, no new update was provided about whether a suspect has been identified.
The shooting remains an active homicide investigation, police said.
