STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — BJ’s Wholesale Club will soon open its first Staten Island warehouse store, bringing life back to a portion of Charleston’s Bricktown Center, which was previously occupied by Christmas Tree Shops and Bed Bath & Beyond. And to hype that official grand opening — anticipated sometime this fall — the company is launching a membership center on Friday, Sept. 20, where local shoppers can take advantage of a steep founding membership discount.
