On Thursday at 5:24 p.m. an updated coastal flood advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Friday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. for Staten Island. The weather service states, “If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.”
