Fall fun awaits with corn mazes, pumpkins, activities at Modesto-area farms. Where, when

It’s harvest season and with that comes a chance to pick and gather fall-themed fun across the Modesto region.

Large farms will offer a host of activities to welcome autumn, including fields of pumpkin patches and corn mazes. You also can find a zip line, pig races, train rides and much more. Most attractions are family-friendly.

Here’s a look at where to enjoy the activities and find plenty of pumpkins:

R.A.M. FARMS — Sept. 20-Oct. 31: There will be a corn maze at R.A.M. Farms in Turlock. Freaky Flashlight Nights through the maze are held Fridays and Saturdays (take your own flashlights) beginning at dusk. Also on site is a scary shed, tractor tires and hay maze. There will be a Halloween video shown nightly. There are a variety of pumpkins, and it’s free to wander the patch. Corn maze tickets are $10-$12; Freaky Flashlight Nights $14.
