Homeless Woman Facing 14 Felony Counts After High-Speed Chase Avoids Jail, Granted Diversion

LOS ANGELES – A woman accused of terrorizing a Venice neighborhood and leading police on a high-speed pursuit across West Los Angeles will avoid jail time after being granted mental health diversion. Lisa Ann Heflin, 41, faced 14 felony counts, including 10 counts of assault upon a police officer and four counts of assault with a deadly weapon, for the chaotic incident that culminated in a wrong-way crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway.
