Cosse’s Place reopens in Pace, bringing more seating and new cocktails, steaks and pastas

After fire destroyed much of Cosse’s Place in May of 2023, owner Mike Cosse reopened the fan-favorite New Orleans style restaurant bigger and better than ever at 3601 Highway 90 in Pace.

Cosse celebrated with friends and family last weekend for a “soft” opening, which opened the floodgates to a surge of customers who have been pouring in ever since. It’s safe to say the community missed it.

“People love New Orleans and Cajun style food all over the country. So, it’s always very accepted, and like here, we have a lot of people living here now from Louisiana, especially after (hurricane) Katrina…People love the cuisine,” he said. “It is traditional.”

Rising from the ashes: Cosse’s Place is slated to reopen after ‘tragic’ fire, but not where you might expect

Cosse’s Place die-hard fans will find their familiar favorites on the menu that have carried over to the new location, along with some exciting new additions, including a liquor license.

“More seats, liquor and still has the best oysters around,” Cosse said Thursday, describing the new restaurant.
