Troop NOLA arrests suspects after car chase, crash in Gentilly

Two men are in the Orleans Parish Prison after a Thursday night car chase with the Louisiana State Police in which the suspects crashed into another vehicle in Gentilly.

According to our partners at NOLA.com and WWL-TV , troopers with Troop NOLA spotted a white Audi crossover that had been reported stolen and was tied to car burglaries across the region. Jaharis Butler and Justin Wilder are accused of leading troopers on a chase into Gentilly. Troopers say the chase ended after the suspects ran a stop sign on St. Anthony Street and crashed into another vehicle. The driver of the second car was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Butler and Wilder were treated at a hospital after they were taken into custody.

Troopers say they found guns and ski masks inside the stolen vehicle they say Butler and Wilson crashed.

No word yet on what charges Butler, 21, and Wilder, 24, are facing.
