Very spotty storms formed Thursday afternoon and night across Central Iowa as a cold front moved through the state. The rainfall was pretty hit or miss in nature, but more widespread rain will be on the way for the weekend. This rain will also bring the arrival of the Fall season.

It will stay warm through Saturday ahead of the next significant system to move across the state. This next front will bring a longer period of rain and more widespread totals.
Saturday looks to start off with the chance for a few spotty showers and storms. We should then see some dry time for part of the morning and early afternoon. Storm chances look to build back in by late Saturday afternoon and into Saturday evening. Saturday will remain summerlike with highs in the mid-80s.
