Boise Police Chief Ron Winegar Retires after nearly 30 years

After nearly thirty years of service in the Boise Police Department, Chief Ron Winegar retired for the second time today, August 19, 2024. “It was a tremendous privilege to serve,” Winegar said. “We are all people, all human beings, all part of one big family. If we could just try to give some of that service when someone is having a tough time, pass it on to someone else, and maybe it comes back to you eventually.”
