OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A bicyclist is in the hospital after a Friday morning crash in Oshtemo Township.
Around 6:20 a.m., deputies with the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the area of Parkview Avenue and Crystal Lane for a crash involving an SUV and a bicyclist.
Responding deputies found a 24-year-old bicyclist with severe injuries. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, the sheriff’s office said.
The driver of the SUV, a 65-year-old woman, was not hurt.
Deputies do not believe that speed or alcohol are factors in the crash.
It’s unclear what led up to the crash.
