Comstock Public Schools closed due to threats

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Comstock Public Schools are closed on Friday due to threats, the district announced on social media.

The announcement, posted at 8 a.m. , said that the closure would allow staff to investigate the threats that have been reported to the schools.

“We apologize for any inconveniences this closing might cause,” the post said.

Superintendent Jeffery Thoenes told News 8 that the district “will follow normal transportation protocol for students being dropped off at home – if parents are not home then students stay on the bus and go either back to school or the transportation office.” If parents are not home, school personnel will call the parents.
