Samson surpasses 1,000 career digs in Mendon win

MENDON — The Mendon volleyball team made easy work of North Adams-Jerome on Friday night.

During the contest, junior libero Jadyn Samson recorded her 1,000th career dig.

“Jadyn has been the heart of our defense for the last two years. If you have ever seen her play, you understand why she has achieved this and still only in her junior year,” Mendon coach Kenny Herbert said. “She is a floor protector and doesn’t let anything drop. We are very proud of her and her accomplishment tonight.”

Mendon improved to 17-1-1 on the season with the win, which came by scores of 25-12, 25-16 and 25-13.
