A recent Airbnb stay in Salt Lake City didn’t last very long after a woman named Emily decided to get out of the house as quickly as possible after reading something on the fridge.
In a viral TikTok video, Emily recounted how a chilling message discovered by her friend forced them to abandon the rental property and stay at a nearby hotel.
According to reports on the story, the ordeal began as soon as Emily and her friends arrived at the Airbnb. They immediately noticed a “dirty” and “cat urine-smelling” apartment, and their discomfort grew when they realized that groundskeepers were living in a basement area.
Things just got worse after reading reviews from previous guests who had also felt “weird” during their stays.
Emily and her friends got ready for dinner, but the tension only got worse when one of them confessed to feeling like they were being watched.
The situation took an even more sinister turn later that night. After hearing a thump under the floorboards, the women decided to retire for the evening.
