Six of the scouts presented the pantry with the entire troop filling it as a part of their year-long community service project. These scouts have examined the importance of food access and the role of the town’s existing food pantry in supporting those in need, leading to this grand opening.
The Town’s Senior Services Department and the Town Highway Department approved the scouts to place the pantry in the Town Hall. Curtis Lumber of Delmar supplied all the materials for construction and Infamous Graphics of Colonie donated the signs.
