Chicago Police Seek Help in Identifying 3 Suspects in CTA Red Line Brutal Assault, Robbery

Public sasistance needed as authorities investigate violent robbery on Red Line platform in Chicago’s Loop

CHICAGO, IL — Police are urging the public to assist in identifying three individuals linked to a violent robbery and assault on a CTA Red Line platform in the Loop. The incident occurred early Monday at approximately 3:30 a.m. at the Washington/Wabash station, located on the 100 block of North State Street.

According to authorities, the victim was approached by three individuals who stole his headphones and backpack. When the victim attempted to stop them, a physical altercation ensued. The assailants allegedly punched and kicked the victim before fleeing the scene.

On Thursday, the Chicago Police Department released images of the suspects and provided descriptions to aid in the investigation. The first suspect is described as a male between 18 and 20 years old, wearing a red doo-rag, black tank top, and black pants. The second suspect, also believed to be male and between 18 and 20 years old, was last seen in a brown-green hooded sweatshirt featuring a “Tommy Hilfiger” logo, along with ripped jeans. The third individual, a female, is estimated to be between 18 and 20 years old, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11, and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. She was reportedly wearing a red jumpsuit and white shoes at the time of the incident.
