Third man found guilty in connection with the death of Shreveport teen

A third person has pleaded guilty in the death of a Shreveport teen.

On Thursday, Sept. 19, Tramine Taylor, 28, pleaded guilty to the illegal use of a weapon resulting in the death of 13-year-old Landry Anglin.

On May 1, 2022, a Chevrolet Cavalier drove down Erie Street between Fairfield and Line Ave. and opened fire on a White Chrysler 300.  More than 10-shots were fired out of the vehicle.

Anglin, an eighth grader, was sitting with her family when a stray bullet struck her in the 4500 block of Fairfield Ave.

According to the Caddo District Attorney’s Office, Taylor was driving the Chrysler behind the Cavalier which was being driven by Gavontay Johnson. In the Cavalier was Kenmiccael Ray and his young daughter.

Ray then opened fire on the Chrysler resulting in Taylor and others returning fire.

Through forensic firearms analysis it was established that one of the bullets fired from Ray’s gun killed Anglin. In June, the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s office convicted Ray was convicted of second-degree murder in June 2024 and was sentenced to life in prison.
