Prince George’s County police identify fatal shooting victim; looking for suspect, motive

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police in Prince George’s County have identified the man who was fatally shot Thursday night and are still looking for a suspect and motive.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said 26-year-old Jawaun Jackson of Washington, D.C. was found shot in the roadway in the 2900 block of 52 nd Ave. on Sept. 19 at around 8:45 p.m.

PGPD said detectives are working on figuring out who was involved in the shooting and what the motive was.

Anyone with information was asked to call (301) 516-2512 or submit a tip online on the P3 Tips app.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered to anyone who has information that leads to an arrest and indictment of those involved.
