Stockton student brings gun to high school campus, arrest made

(FOX40.COM) — A 14-year-old Stockton student was arrested after he brought a gun to his high school campus, according to the Stockton Police Department.

On Friday, SPD was dispatched to a school in the 2000 Block of West Lane, Civic District, for a report of a student with a gun. School staff reportedly found the gun on the student. Officials said the gun was unloaded, however, the student fled the scene on foot.

The incident comes amid school districts and law enforcement investigation of a series of threats against schools nationwide . The student was found by police and arrested in connection to gun-related charges.
