6 men wounded in Brooklyn shooting hospitalized as police seek 2 suspects

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Six men were shot in Greenpoint, Brooklyn early Saturday morning and took themselves to various area hospitals, one in critical condition. Police are searching for two suspects in the assault.

The shots broke out around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Stewart Avenue and Cherry Street, and police found 8 shell casings at the scene.

Among the victims is a 33-year-old who was shot in the right ankle, and he is at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull in stable condition, officials said.

Also stable are two 20-year-olds, one of which was shot in the back and another who was shot in the left leg, police said. They both are at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.

The final three victims, all 18-years-old, went to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. Two of the men are stable, one with a wound to the face and the other to the left ankle. One is in critical condition, and he was shot in the chest, authorities said.

All six victims were transported to the hospital via private means.
