Fall Bonsai Show celebrates live art form

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Botanical Conservatory welcomes visitors on Saturday to walk through the Fort Wayne Bonsai Club’s selection of miniature trees.

The Fall Bonsai Show commemorates the live art form through sharing club members’ passion for the trees with the city. Visitors can ask all of their bonsai-related questions to club members as well as buy their own bonsai tree and pot.

Bonsai trees originate from Japan and are considered an artform by their caretakers who cut the plant’s leaves in branches in various shapes.

The show runs on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the magnolia Room at the Botanical Conservatory located on 1100 S. Calhoun St. Purchases are cash only. For more information about the Fort Wayne Bonsai Club, visit the organization’s website .
