(Undated) — More than 68-thousand tickets were issued this summer during a four-month speed enforcement campaign. The Minnesota Department of Safety (DPS) says authorities from 259 agencies across the state cited drivers for speed violations from May 1st to September 2nd — eight of them for going 120 mph or more. During the two-week Labor Day DWI campaign (August 16th-September 2nd), officers, deputies, and troopers arrested 1,235 drivers for driving impaired. Fatalities on Minnesota roads as of Friday are 322, compared to last year’s total of 286.
