Man arrested after allegedly breaking into home during chase with Tulsa Police

TULSA, Okla. — A man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a home during a chase with Tulsa Police on Friday.

At around 3 p.m., an officer attempted to pull over the suspect, Juan Trujillo, near East Admiral Place and South 101st East Avenue.

Trujillo then got out of the driver’s seat and ran into a nearby apartment complex.

Officers arrived in the area to search for him.

An officer saw Trujillo jump a fence into the backyard of a house near the complex.

Police said the elderly homeowner found him hiding behind her storage building. Trujillo then ran out of her backyard but forced his way through her front door.

The homeowner didn’t know he was in the house, but once she saw him, she went outside and yelled for officers.

The suspect ran out the backdoor but was caught after a short chase.

Trujillo was arrested and booked in Tulsa County jail for first degree burglary, obstruction by fleeing and traffic charges.
