Most Mississippians have fast food fatigue: report

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – As attitudes regarding many fast food restaurants evolve, many Mississippians have had a major change in appetite.

Americans have felt the costs of many goods rise and their quality fall in recent years, including for food. Not only is cooking at home more expensive nationally but so is eating out. Due to this and other factors, TestCasinos reveals that two-thirds of Mississippians have bought less fast food over the last year.

Another two-thirds of the 3,000 people interviewed nationwide have done the same. On average, Americans have replaced 2.2 fast-food meals per week with eating at home. Over half of fast food lovers cite rising costs as deterrents to eating out. Other major concerns include 21% of Americans seeking healthier alternatives and 16% citing a decline in the quality of fast food.

Some fast-food restaurants receive more scrutiny than others. Taco Bell, Wendy’s and Chick-fil-A have the best reviews, while KFC, McDonald’s and Subway have the worst perceived value among consumers according to TestCasinos.
