LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Lansing Chief of Police Robert Backus and Ingham County Sheriff Scott Wriggelsworth hit the streets Friday.
The duo teamed up to share a patrol car and patrol the city, a post by the Sheriff’s office reports.
Wriggelsworth has done ride-alongs with previous chiefs in Lansing.
The Facebook post sharing the patrol duty was written and posted by Wriggelsworth and shared by on the Ingham County Sheriff Department’s social media. Lansing Police Department also shared the post.
“Checking a box off my bucket list, today!” Wriggelsworth wrote. “We are patrolling the City of Lansing with Chief Backus. Awesome Chief, even better man. Hopefully, I pass his “training program.”
Ingham County Sheriff deputies and Lansing Police Department officers often work hand-in-hand in the area deterring crime, investigating violent crime and assisting each other during mutual aid calls.
