Ukraine Strikes Russian Weapons Depots

Additional Coverage:

Ukrainian military officials report destroying two weapons arsenals in Russia on Saturday. One arsenal, located in Krasnodar, was receiving ammunition from North Korea.

The strikes took place in the early hours of Saturday and targeted the 23rd arsenal of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Tver and the 719th artillery ammunition base in Krasnodar.

The Tikhoretsk arsenal in Krasnodar is a major ammunition storage hub for Russian forces. When it was destroyed, a train carrying 2,000 tons of ammunition, including North Korean-supplied munitions, was nearby.

The 23rd arsenal in Tver also caught fire after the attack.

Ukrainian forces, including unmanned systems, special operations forces, and security service elements, were involved in the operation.

These strikes follow a similar attack on an ammunition depot in Toropets, Russia, earlier this week.
