Marksheffel closes for roadwork Sept. 22-26

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Marksheffel Road will close to all traffic from south of Stetson Hills Boulevard to north of North Carefree Circle for five nights, Sunday, Sept. 22, through Thursday, Sept. 26, from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Crews will remove barriers, restripe the road, and shift traffic to a new lane.

The detour directs drivers to use Peterson Road. On Sept. 22-24 and 26, access will be from North Carefree Circle; on Sept. 25, it will be from Stetson Hills Boulevard for neighborhoods along Zircon and Graphite Drives.

The temporary traffic signal at Marksheffel and Zircon Drive will be removed overnight on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Barnes Road will reopen on Sept. 25 between Antelope Ridge Drive and Marksheffel Road.
