Saint Francis flattens Siena Heights for second straight win

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – After a rebounding from a 21-0 deficit last week, Saint Francis used a flat start to topple Siena Heights in a 32-10 win at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium on Saturday.

The Cougars got on the scoreboard early thanks to a 13-play, 80 yard drive in the first quarter. Josh Kulka, who earned MSFA Offensive Player of the Week honors last weekend, bulldozed a defender en route to a 13-yard touchdown run.

Siena Heights answered with 10 unanswered points, including a touchdown pass in the second quarter, to take a 10-7 lead. Saint Francis closed the game with 25 unanswered points. Kulka lofted a touchdown pass to Crosley MacEachen. A minute later, McCall ray hauled in a 45-yard touchdown pass to make it a 22-10 game. Tamarris Springfield then pulled off a 44-yard pick six to close out the second quarter for Saint Francis with a 29-10 lead.

Despite scoring three points in the second half, Saint Francis’s defense shut the door the rest of the way. Siena Heights was limited to 13 first downs in Saturday’s game, plus 199 yards of total offense.
