‘No Old White Guy Could Ask For More’ Fawns Tim Walz After Actors Ramos, Colón-Zayas Speak at Rally

At a Democratic campaign rally Saturday, Democratic VP nominee Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota fawned over actors Liza Colón-Zayas and Anthony Ramos, who each delivered remarks before him at the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania event.

At his rally in Pennsylvania, Walz spoke about school shootings, inflation, and other issues, saying that America “can’t afford four more years of this,” and reminding rallygoers that there are only “45 days to bring joy back to our politics.”

As he was first taking the stage, Walz remarked about the two actors who spoke to the crowd before he took the stage.

He remarked that his six weeks being the nominee alongside Vice President Kamala Harris has been a “not weird” but “pretty strange” experience.

“But if it weren’t enough to be Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate,” said Walz. “If that weren’t enough, I’m here with Anthony and Liza today.”

“No old white guy could ask for more, trust me,” he said after pausing for effect.

He then bragged that he’s always “spotting talent” and said the actors are “great at what the do” but could have a second career in politics.
