A man was hit by a car and killed while trying to walk across a Houston tollway Friday night. The man was hit near 6500 West Sam Houston Tollway South. Officials with the Harris County Pct. 5 Constable’s Office say they were alerted to a pedestrian traffic hazard at 6:39 p.m., which appeared to be a call reporting the man walking on the road. At 6:43 p.m., the pedestrian was stricken by the passing car.
