Rep. Daniel Grossberg faces growing allegations of harassment, calls for resignation

LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Kentucky Democrats, including Gov. Andy Beshear, are calling for the resignation of democratic representative Daniel Grossberg following allegations of inappropriate behavior toward women.

More women came forward Friday accusing Representative Grossberg of sexual assault and harassment.

“I think that what you’re seeing today is the dam breaking,” says Emma Curtis, one of Grossberg’s alleged victims.

With the Legislative Research Committee’s investigation into these accusations underway, many believe the only acceptable course of action is for Grossberg to resign.

In a news conference Friday, Gov. Beshear called for Grossberg’s resignation, saying, “We just need to speak in one clear voice, that is absolutely unacceptable”

Curtis said his resignation is long overdue, “If he cared one lick about the people that he represents, he would have resigned a long time ago. But he doesn’t. He only cares about preserving his own career.
