From summer to fall over the weekend

Hello everyone!

Our hot summertime weather looks to be coming to an end today as a cold front moves in from the north. Along and ahead of this boundary we could see numerous showers and thunderstorms develop. Stay weather aware and be ready to move indoors if a storm is near your location. Lightning, sudden strong downburst winds, pockets of hail, and heavy downpours will be the main concerns. Regarding temperatures, today will see highs in the 80’s and low 90’s.

Tomorrow, for our first official day of autumn, breezy and much cooler weather will move in behind the aforementioned cold front plowing south across the area. Temperatures could hold steady in the 60’s and 70’s for daytime highs! Also, additional showers and thunderstorms might be possible during the course of the day.

Sunshine returns for Monday with highs around 80, while more rain is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures in the 70’s.

Have a safe and wonderful weekend, everyone!
