Family searching for missing Southern California teen

Loved ones are searching for a teen who disappeared in East Los Angeles.

The missing girl was identified as Ashley Espinoza, 16, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

On Sept. 15, Espinoza was last seen on the 500 block of North Hebert Avenue at around 5:30 p.m.

She is described as a Hispanic female around 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds. She has brown eyes, light brown hair and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.

Her family said she does not have any known medical conditions that would contribute to her disappearance. She also does not have a history of running away.

Espinoza’s loved ones have not heard from her since her disappearance and are very concerned for her well-being.

Anyone who knows the teen’s whereabouts or has information on the case is asked to call LASD Detective Lavin or the East L.A. Station’s Watch Commander at 323-264-4151.
