Oklahoma postgame notes after loss to Tennessee

Oklahoma falls to Tennessee 25-15. Here are the postgame notes from OU Sports Information.

• Attendance for Saturday’s game was 84,071, marking OU’s 156th straight sellout of an originally scheduled home game, dating back to the start of the 1999 season. It is the nation’s second-longest current streak.

• Tonight marked Oklahoma’s first-ever Southeastern Conference intraleague contest.

• Tennessee was Oklahoma’s first top-10 AP opponent in Norman since the 2017 season when No. 5 OU beat No. 8 TCU 38-20.

• Redshirt freshman OL Heath Ozaeta and true freshman RB Taylor Tatum made their first career starts, and redshirt senior DL Da’Jon Terry made his first start of the season. Ozaeta became the eighth offensive lineman to make his first OU start this season.

• Twenty players (14 offensive and six defensive) have made their first OU starts this season.

• Oklahoma held Tennessee to 23 offensive points tonight, nearly 40 points below its season average. The Volunteers entered the game averaging a nation-leading 63.7 points per game.
