USC coach Lincoln Riley praises Michigan’s defense, Big House atmosphere after loss to Wolverines

USC coach Lincoln Riley said the Trojans allowed too many explosive plays throughout a 27-24 loss to Michigan in the Big Ten opener at the Big House on Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines had three rushing plays of 40 yards or more – two by Kalel Mullings, one by Donovan Edwards – as part of a 290-yard effort on the ground. Though U-M finished with just 32 passing yards, the offense was aided by a Will Johnson pick-six.
