Wrapping up the weekend on a soggy and cool note

QUAD CITIES, Ia, Il (KWQC) — The umbrellas and rain gear will certainly get a workout over the next 36 hours, as a cold front makes way across the upper Midwest. Showers (and possibly a thunderstorm or two) will remain widespread across the QCA, eventually tapering off by the afternoon hours. Don’t look for much of a rise in temperatures, as readings remain steady in the 60′s to near 70 degrees for Sunday’s high. Cooler temperatures just in time for the first day of Fall! Rain chances continue into Monday with spotty showers possible, followed by mostly sunny and mild conditions through the rest of the week. Highs should range from the lower 70′s Tuesday to the upper 70′s Friday.
