Former Pro Bowl Receiver Shocked By Bills’ Start

Plenty of people thought there would be a natural regression from the Buffalo Bills in 2024.

After all, losing All-Pro players like Stefon Diggs, Jordan Poyer, and Micah Hyde were major losses during the offseason. Injuries to Taron Johnson and Matt Milano certainly didn’t help matters, either.

Buffalo has weathered the storm early on, though. A 2-0 start, the fourth under head coach Sean McDermott, has quickly shown that the Bills are more than just their mediocre offseason.

They remain one of the best teams in the league. And former Pro Bowl wide receiver DeSean Jackson understands that better than most.

“I honestly didn’t see this coming,” Jackson said on the Up and Adams podcast. “Obviously, I knew Josh Allen was a hell of a quarterback… [but] they let go of their whole defense, they let go of Stefon [Diggs], they let go of [Gabe] Davis… I mean it’s crazy. It’s mind-boggling to me how they’re playing.

“How you let go of your top two receivers, all these dudes… [Jordan] Poyer, [Micah] Hyde… you let go of all these dudes and y’all are playing lights-out football. It hurts me a little bit because this offseason I was on some media shows and I bashed them. I didn’t think they were gonna be good.”
