Heavy Showers & Thunderstorms Developing Across Parts of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas

Heavy Rain & Thunder Moving Through Indiana and Michigan

09/22/24 12:58pm ET

Good afternoon everyone. We’re watching a new round of heavy showers & thunderstorms, including isolated severe weather, develop over parts of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

Some of these storms have a history of large hail, damaging winds, frequent lightning, and torrential rain. Not everyone in the area will see thunderstorms, but for those who do, there is a risk of isolated severe weather. We could also see a few tornadoes out of this as well.

Elsewhere, we have soaking rain and some rumbles of thunder across a wide area of Michigan and Indiana. This is much needed rain, but too much could cause a few issues with flooding. Later on today, we could also see an isolated severe weather component out of this.

Across parts of Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, we could see locally damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning, and torrential rain later this afternoon and evening with a sencond wave of action.
