Crews extinguish east Charlotte shopping center fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Units responded to a fire on the roof of a building in east Charlotte Sunday afternoon.

Crews responded to the 5500 block of Albemarle Road and discovered flames coming from the roof.

Officials say it took 30 firefighters 20 minutes to control the fire. There were no injuries reported.

The fire is currently under investigation.
